I’ve had the chance to play on some Gretsch drums…They have great sound and are well built. They’re an iconic name for older 60′s music and Jazz….but definitely not limited to those genres. Ball and shock mounts hold the toms on steady, Maple shells give a rich tone. I love 16″ floor toms, nice, deep sound. This drum set, I’m sure, will please.

This is Peal’s flagship drum set line up. There’s the standard version which is the Custom listed here and the Premium which is made to order…takes about four to six months. Pearl doesn’t cut any corners with this kit. Pearl kits offer great construction and handcrafted high quality componentry. I love the sound of Pearl kits. They’ve been in the business a long time and have been able to create quality, almost custom, looking drum kits. I personally play Pearl. I love their hardware, the finish on the shells and the sound.

Evans G2 Fusion Drum Head Pack

As notably one of the best drum heads around, the G2 fusion head sports a two-ply drum skin (7mil each) featuring extraordinary consistency and durability. Evans G2 drum heads offer the perfect blend of depth, sustain, and attack. It makes small toms sing and floor toms growl. G2 drum heads have been a consistent leader in the Rock drumming arena. Little less resonance than the G1 series drum head, but delivers a powerful sound.

Evans G2 drum heads have become one of the most popular heads around. These 2 ply drum heads allow for stronger, harder playing suitable for rock. Sound is less open but gives a powerful punch. Highly recommended.

Remo Ambassador Drumhead ProPack

The kit includes one each: of a 12, 13, 14, and 16 inch heads. Remo Ambassadors are a single, medium-ply, extremely versatile head. Ambassadors are some of the most played heads ever.

Rating:
Great drum heads that have good resonation. The tones seem to go on forever on these single ply heads. The coating is nice for brushwork. These are not for super hard playing like a two-ply head would hold up to. If you play a little softer especially jazz or fusion, these drum heads are the way to go. I’ve used them for years and alternate with the clear types. Remo heads have always seated on the shell very nicely for me. In my opinion, you really can’t go wrong with Remo. You can get these drum heads in a Fusion Coated Pakas well.
