The SD5K Electronic drum kit has very sensitive drum pads made of a durable, yet highly responsive, material that accurately captures every hit. All of the drum pads have adjustable rack placement and angle adjustments for unlimited customization to your playing style. This includes two cymbal pads and one hi-hat pad which have height and angle adjustments for a convenient, custom-tailored fit.

The included hi-hat control pedal gives you much better feel of a real high-hat pedal, providing instant hardware familiarity to your playing. Similar to an acoustic drum set, the hi-hat functions as a closed hi-hat when pedal is stepped on, and open when the pedal is released.

Unlike acoustic drum sets, the bass drum kick pad can be located independently from the toms for even greater customization to your body size and playing style.

The SD5K is controlled through an easy-to-read, multifunction LED display that shows all of the parameter settings on your kit so you’ll always know where you’re at.

The sound module contains 237 voices and gives you lots of sounds with which to customize your own drum kits. You can store up to 10 different custom kits, or use the 22 preset kits that come with the module for a head start. Also included are a reverb effect, a built-in metronome, and 48 preset songs to practice with.

The lightweight aluminum construction provides the strength of steel, but without the weight. What does this mean? Easy transportation to and from the audition, rehearsal, and gig. Low priced electronic drum set. Simmons have been around for quite some time, perfecting their craft. This electronic drum kit would be good for all types of playing styles and a great practice set due to the multiple drum voices that can be selected. Great for a beginner. What’s kind of cool is that the vendor throws in a free starter pack that’s valued at around $150 which includes a pedal, throne, sticks and headphones…The price on this electronic drum set with that pack is awesome. But, don’t expect the sound that you would find on a “pro-priced” kit…

Great, solid practice drum pad to help you keep your chops in time. What’s cool about this practice drum pad is that it comes with foot pedals as well. Very intuitive and easy to use to get you up and running in no time. Great for warming up before a gig, and it’s portable to make that possible. Simmons has made electronic drums for as long as I can remember. They know what they’re doing in the electronics side of percussion instruments. This high quality practice drum pad is sure to please and will help any drummer advance their drumming skills.

Great starter electronic drum kit. I’ve done quite a bit of research, but to be honest, have never played it. I’m looking forward to trying it out some day. Yamaha makes quality instruments. Their acoustic drums are some of the best sets made.

They sound great and they’re well built.

Great entry set into the world of electronic drums. You get a lot for the money with this electronic drum set. Rack is a little cheap, but it gives good performance for the money. Great for the hobbyist drummer. Set up can be a little confusing with the cables.
