The Evans G1 clear drum head is a great, all-around drum head well suited for Jazz and other drum styles where an open sound is desired. Little lighter than the Evans G2. I personally have been playing with G1s for a while now and they last and wear well. They’ve been great sounding heads and very versatile for different ranges of tuning.

dw pedals are the stuff. Made with high quality materials, craftsmanship and leading-edge design, these bass drum pedals help the drummer get the motion and sound they want. I have personally owned dw pedals for years and love them. Attention to detail and performance seems to be the driving force at dw when it comes to their drum set lines and hardware.

Nice Electronic drum set with great sounds built in. Hi tech engineering and advanced electronics make this electronic drum kit what it is. Alesis is coming out with some very nice electronic drum sets and giving the bigger manufacturers a run for their money. Speaking of money, the price on this Alesis DM10 Pro Electronic Drum Set is truly a great deal for everything you get. Very responsive, mutli-zone pads and cymbals make it a winner. The DM10 drum module is amazing and the ability to add additional drum sounds and the ability to interface with a computer makes the possibilities endless. Great looking, very affordable drum kit from Mapex. I can’t believe the price of this birch drum kit. Comes with Mapex’s I.T.S. Mounting System for better resonance and less restriction. This would truly be a great set for the beginning drummer.

I’ve been scouring the internet for information on this cool electronic drum. It’s a very cool, interactive drum that can stand alone or be used in conjunction with any acoustic or electric drum kit. Play it with your hands, sticks, brushes…however you want. What’s cool is that the sound triggering goes beyond the head itself. The entire top surface can be interacted with. Cool drum…kind of pricey, however.

This is one beautiful electronic drum set at a beautiful price. I personally own the 2010 version and love it and I’m thoroughly impressed with this drum kit. I put in a lot research looking at different sets from different manufactures, etc and this kit just fit the bill perfectly. I’m still amazed at the price for such a high quality electronic drum kit that includes adjustable drum heads, a great module, hardware and more…Finally, an electronic drum set that comes stock with more than just the standard, 5-piece set up with only two cymbals on top…The DM10 module is a sophisticated drum brain that delivers plenty of choices and allows the drummer full flexibility. And, being able to load new kits and sounds through 3rd party programs like Toontrack EZ Drummer and Addictive Drums is one of the most impressive features that allows the player endless possibilities and quality, professional, fully adjustable sound sets. This definitely needs to be checked out by all.

One thing…If you pick this kit up, make the investment and get some good studio-quality headphones…It’s night and day difference when listing through pro equipment and picks up every hit, tap, ghost note, thumping bass, etc. These are what I use and absolutely love them:
Audio-Technica Studio Monitor Headphones.

Get a nice head on it, tune it up a bit and you have a nice snare drum for drum and bass style playing. The black hardware on this little beauty is nice as well.

Beginning with bubinga from West Africa, these drum shells are thinner type of shell to allow the unique tonal character of these exotic hardwoods to truly shine. Beautiful set made of quality, exotic African bubinga wood. Looks like a great intermediate/advanced drum kit. ddrums have a very nice sound to them and the hardware is reminiscent of the “big brother” dw drum sets.

The Tree:(Guibourtia tessmannii)

“The bubinga tree grows to heights of up to 100′ and 3′ in diameter and grows mostly in parts of West Africa, Cameroon and surrounding nations. Trees this large can produce quite wide and long lumber.” The lumber can be pretty pricey.

“Bubinga can have multi-shaded, interlocking or wavy-figured bands of color in different shades of red with distinct purple overtones, in the more exotic samples, and fine, linear grain with greater color consistency in the balance. Color does darken with age.”
