They sound great and they’re well built.

Great entry set into the world of electronic drums. You get a lot for the money with this electronic drum set. Rack is a little cheap, but it gives good performance for the money. Great for the hobbyist drummer. Set up can be a little confusing with the cables.

Rating:
Again, I’ve had the chance to play Roland drumsets and love them. The feel is great, the different drum types that are programmed in sound awesome. Although I haven’t had any personal experience with this set, I’m sure it’s top notch just judging by the lower end models I’ve played. Roland sets the standard in electronic drums.

I’ve had the opportunity to play Some of the electronic Roland sets and I have to say they are a blast to play. Think of playing a near perfectly tuned drumset…that’s what playing a Roland is like. They’ve been making electronic drums for a long time and are at the pinnacle of that arena.

The mesh heads on the Rolands are amazing. They actually feel good when you’re playing them. Dynamics are great and playing the set while the family is sleeping or playing in an apartment complex and not bother anyone…well that’s got to be amazing.

Rating:
Yamaha makes quality drumsets and have been doing it for a long time. They create many orchestra instruments as well and you can tell they keep quality running at maximum on all of the different lines of instruments. I’ve played on Yamahas before and love the sound of these drumsets. They have great attack and resonate very well. The shells are very strong. This particular set is a good introductory set for the first time player as well as a seasoned vet. The natural wood is a thing of beauty on Yamaha instruments and drums.
