Evans Snare Drum Tune Up Pack
The Evans Snare Tune Up Pack is a great way to revive or cherry any snare drum and make it sound like it should. Evans includes a Power Center Reverse Dot batter head, a Hazy 300 snare side resonant head, a drum key, a set of Puresound Blasters Series 20-strand snare wire, and a couple of E-ring snare damping rings in the TUNE UP pack. Power Center Reverse Dot batter head Designed to add durability in the spot where the stick strikes it the most, the Evans Power Center also adds focus to your sound. The coated, perforated, center-reinforced Evans drumhead still allows overtones to ring freely when struck on the edges. The drumhead has an open, bright sound and creates a fat backbeat.Hazy 300 Snare Side resonant head The 3 mil film yields a wide dynamic range and controlled snare response at all dynamic levels. Magnetic drum key Drop-forged, ergonomically designed for comfort. Knurled knob for quick, easy spinning. Magnetic head helps prevent slipping and stays in place for fast tightening and loosening. Rattle-free design.Evans Puresound Blasters Series 20-strand snare wire The Blasters Series snare wires have 20 medium-gauge wires that are evenly spaced standard coils. They are pro-quality snare wires that have been developed for high volume, high intensity playing and feature specially formulated, premium-grade steel-alloy wires on angled, copper-colored end clips.Blaster snare wires feature bent end clips that are designed to create greater snare wire contact across the surface of the drumhead while offering increased activity, consistency, response and projection. If you are looking for extreme sensitivity that allows the snares to be active in influencing the sound, these are the wires you need.Evans E-ring snare drum damping rings The E-ring is an easy-to-use external overtone control ring which "floats" on the surface of a drumhead. It rounds out and flattens the drumhead's sound and allows easier tuning. The E-ring snare pack includes two 14" diameter rings, a wide and a narrow version, to accommodate a variety of sound control needs.

Cool Kit by Evans drum head company. I would think this would make for a nice present bundled up into a gift pack. Includes a durable reverse dot head. I’ve used this head before and it held up pretty well. Gives a nice controlled sound. It’s nice that it includes everything to freshen up your snare drums sound so you can do an “overhaul” all at once. It’s Evans, which is synonymous with quality.

Remo Clear Pinstripe Drum Heads
Remo's popular Pinstripe heads are made from 2 plies of Remo clear film and bonded at the collar to dampen both high overtones and overall resonance. The result is a very focused, low-pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics that is ideal for creating a deeper, fatter, controlled drum sound in a variety of studio and live drumming situations.

Rating:

I used to use this head exclusively when I played hard rock. This is a quality Remo head with legacy. It’s been around for a long time and there’s a reason for it. It gives a great closed tone that allows the player to really pound on it and get great powerful sound.

Remo Ambassador Drumhead ProPack
The kit includes one each: of a 12, 13, 14, and 16 inch heads. Remo Ambassadors are a single, medium-ply, extremely versatile head. Ambassadors are some of the most played heads ever.

Rating:

Great drum heads that have good resonation. The tones seem to go on forever on these single ply heads. The coating is nice for brushwork. These are not for super hard playing like a two-ply head would hold up to. If you play a little softer especially jazz or fusion, these drum heads are the way to go. I’ve used them for years and alternate with the clear types. Remo heads have always seated on the shell very nicely for me. In my opinion, you really can’t go wrong with Remo. You can get these drum heads in a Fusion Coated Pak
as well.
